The Nano heater from Elecro is the perfect heater for an above ground pool. Easy to install and made with quality and longevity in mind.
Called the Nano because it is small but it packs big punch. Made in England by Elecro Engineering using the highest quality materials and the latest technology.
The Nano is a 3kw pool heater so it can plug straight in to a plug socket and it comes with a plug already fitted on a 2m long silicone sheathed cable.
Plumbing to the pool is easy. The heater comes with adaptors to push fit a 1.5 inch or 1.25 inch flexible pipe. Take the adaptor out and there is a 1.5 inch BSP female thread to join straight on to standard pool pipework.
Like all quality pool heaters the Nano has a flow switch to detect if the water is flowing and if it is not it shuts the heater down to stop it from burning out. Flow switches can be troublesome but Elecro fit the best there is making it the most reliable on the market.
The temperature of the water is control by a thermostat. Accurate to 1 degC. It is made with a 316 grade stainless steel flow tube and an 825 Incoloy heating element.
Questions we have been asked about this product.
What temperature will it heat the water to?
The Nano will heat the water as hot as you want it to be but over 28C could shorten the life of the liner in your pool.
What is the biggest pool it is suitable for?
The Nano is only a 3kw heater so it will work well on a pool up to about 12ft diameter and 3 to 4ft deep. You will need a summer cover over the pool surface to help keep the heat in.
Could I use two of them?
Yes you could. If you have a bigger pool you could put two heaters in line with each other but you will need two plug sockets and make sure the wiring to them both can take 3kw (13 amps).
I think it is too small for my pool, what else have you got?
If 3kw is not enough then Elecro also make the Vulcan Pool Heater. It has a 6, 9 and 12kw version
Will it work with a salt system?
No. Because it has an Incoloy element it not recommended that you use it with a salt chlorination system. There is a version with a titanium element for salt systems email us for pricing. Alternatively the Vulcan heater (link above) has a titanium element
